My Name is Paul Abery and I am a DSA approved driving instructor with several years experience with a high first time pass rate. All tuition is conducted in a calm and relaxed manner, ideal for nervous students. All tuition is conducted on a 1-1 basis. You are not expected to drop home other students – Which means no car sharing. Learn to drive in a Nissan Qashqai , fitted dual controls and power steering and fully air conditioned.

Learning to drive can be a daunting task for most people – this is where I can help!! All of my tuition is in a calm and relaxed manor ideal for nervous students.
Tuition is on a 1 on 1 basis with no car sharing in a Nissan Qashqai dual controlled, air conditioned, vehicle (Door to door service).
Individuals who pass their driving test have had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice ( According to
Driving Standards Agency statistics). Learners who combine professional instruction with private practice are also more successful on their driving test.
Remember the DSA figures are just a guide and not a guarantee of how many driving lessons you’ll need to rip up those L-plates!

You can book 1-hour or 2-hour lessons per week, each week. Most people learn to drive this way.
Standard lessons from £30 per hour (including block booking discount).
Block Bookings :
To qualify for discount block bookings a minimum of 10 hours to be pre-booked.
Before you can book any driving lessons you are required by law to hold a valid provisional driving licence.
After passing your driving test why not ask me about a PASS PLUS course, this will greatly increase your driving experience and save you money with insurance premiums!

I am a member of the Cornwall and Devon Land Rover Club, where I take part in off road competitions. I have been a member for several years and have gained a good knowledge of driving over very difficult conditions.
I am able to pass on these off road skills to anyone that may need them for work, or you may just want to have some fun.

Before you start to drive, you must:
Hold a valid, provisional driving licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland.Make sure that any vehicle you drive is roadworthy and properly taxed and insured
HOW OLD MUST I BE ?
Normally, for car drivers, the earliest date your provisional licence can become valid is your 17th birthday, however you can apply for the licence up to three months before your 17th birthday.
So, if you apply for your provisional licence before you are 17 you will still have to wait until your birthday before you can take your theory test.
HOW TO GET A PROVISIONAL LICENCE
You can apply for a provisional driving licence from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The application form (D1) can be obtained from your local Post Office.

Please remember before you can take your theory test you will need to make sure you have a valid provisional driving licence. You can apply for a provisional driving licence from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The application form (form D1)
can be obtained from your local Post Office.
The driving theory test has two parts, part one is a multiple choice test of 50 questions, you will need 43 to pass and part two is a hazard perception test of 14 video clips in which you will have to identify 15 developing hazards. You have 57 minutes to complete the test.
This consists of fourteen 1 minute video clips featuring different types of hazards, including pedestrians, other vehicles and road conditions. As soon as you see a hazard developing that may cause you to change direction or alter your speed you should react by pressing the mouse button. The earlier you respond, the more points you will receive. The test has 15 assessable hazards with a maximum of 5 points for each hazard. The pass mark is 44 points out of a possible 75
